Recommended Reading

This book list was created for those who desire additional reading after completing their assignments.  Council requirements for books and articles to be included are: “The books and/or author must not conflict with Carmelite Spirituality or Catholic Church teaching.  Approval is to be left to the discretion of the Council.”

The books included are at a variety of levels from basic to difficult.  Members should be well versed in the works of St. Teresa of Avila before venturing into the advanced books or the more difficult books, such as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.
